Privacy Policy

Mistbook is designed as a peaceful corner for your reading life. We do not sell your personal data to third parties, we do not display advertisements, and we do not use third-party tracking or behavioral profiling trackers. Your reading data is used solely to provide and improve your experience within the application.

Your books, lists, notes, ratings, reading progress, achievements, and preferences are saved locally on your device and securely synchronized with Mistbook's servers.

This allows you to sync your data across devices.

If you choose to sign in (via Sign in with Apple or Google) or utilize optional social features (such as public profiles, following other readers, joint reads, reading chat, or collaborative lists), we store the necessary data on our secure server to identify your account and enable interactions according to your privacy settings.

We do not store plain-text passwords or share your email address with third parties.

To understand which features are most useful and continuously improve the app, we collect aggregated, anonymous usage statistics (such as screens visited or feature interactions). These metrics are not linked to your identity and cannot personally identify you. You can opt out of anonymous analytics at any time in the app via Settings → "Anonymous usage analytics".

When connecting to Mistbook servers (for example, to search book metadata or fetch covers), an encrypted, anonymous installation identifier is transmitted. This allows us to serve content efficiently and protect the service against abuse. It contains no personal information and is not linked to your account unless you log in.

If you contact us through "Contact us" in the app or via email, we retain your message and contact details solely to respond to your inquiry, feedback, or technical issues.

EPIC mode purchases are handled entirely by official platform store processing (Apple App Store for iOS and Google Play Store for Android). Mistbook does not collect or store your payment details. We only receive confirmation of your subscription or purchase status to unlock premium features.

You have full rights to access, rectify, or request the complete deletion of your data at any time:

• On-device data: You can clear locally cached app data directly from the app settings on your device.
• Account & server data deletion: You can request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated server data directly in the app under Settings → Account → "Delete account", or by contacting support via email.
